An extremely run down 3 bedroom, 2 bath grade II listed property in the London Marylebone region, requiring a complete period restoration using traditional replacement materials.
The building needed major works to the lathe & plaster walls, lime plaster and ornate cornicing to restore the house to its former glory. Traditional building materials and methods such as in-situ cornicing were used and hardwood skirting boards were custom fabricated to replace damaged sections. The cast iron fireplaces were fully restored and re-instated with new contemporary granite slips & hearths.
A modern internal layout was added to the upper floors to provide more spacious bedrooms and a family bathroom to the 2nd floor and a master bedroom, with a dressing room & en-suite bathroom on the 3rd floor.
Additionally, tanking works to the basement were provided and a modern London terrace garden created to complete the refurbishment.
