A poor condition 3 bedroom, 2 bath grade II listed period property in the King's Cross area in London, previously converted into HMO housing units, required a sympathetic restoration for use as a single family dwelling.
The house needed major work both internally & externally, including the re-pointing & cleaning of the brickwork to both the front & back of the property.
Utilising sympathetic materials to replace originally damaged architectural elements such as covings & skirting boards and adding replacement period cast iron fireplaces with granite slips & hearths to complement the restoration. Structural works to the basement were used to open up the spine wall between the front & rear areas to create a modern open plan feel for the new designer kitchen & eating area.
On the first floor, the rooms were modified to provide a large master bedroom with a new opening to the luxury ensuite bathroom and bespoke wardrobes were designed & fitted.
